Commercial Legal Services: Employee Share Ownership

Dedication and collaboration toward employee ownership and involvement

“Dedication and collaboration toward employee ownership and involvement”

Employee share ownership takes many forms, from the grant of options to key personnel right through to the organisation of structures designed for the wholly employee owned company.

Employee share ownership can be viewed primarily as a motivational tool, but can also provide another possible exit route for shareholders looking to sell. A sale to employees is particularly appropriate if selling shareholders wish to leave a legacy behind them by participating in establishing what can be a very stable and long lasting new form of ownership.

We bring our expertise and experience in relevant areas of company law, trust law, employment law and property law together with our understanding of the key tax, funding and business issues to advise clients in this complex but increasingly prominent area. Our Employee Incentive Team comprises highly personable, knowledgeable and qualified advisors with legal and business experience and advanced legal and business degrees.

Historically we have completed numerous and varied share schemes acting for several small to medium sized enterprises across different industries and sectors. We are currently advising a number of entrepreneurs in start-up companies, partnerships and sole-trade in the technology, media and leisure sectors.

To learn more please contact Jonathan Oxley who heads up the team or Christine Lightfoot.
