Practical commercial advice

“Practical commercial advice”

The Property Department is informally split into three teams:

         Development and Investment;
         Business Property; and
         Residential Conveyancing;

and offers a full compliment of services to a wide range of property owners, developers and commercial tenants.

Chambers 2008 says:   Commercial property is the fastest growing department at this “highly competent” Leeds firm.   Among the team’s areas of expertise are residential and commercial development, nursing homes, chemists and licensed premises.

Development and Investment Team “for people whose business is property”

Our services include all kinds of freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, site assembly, development for both commercial and residential uses, forward sales, conditional contracts, options, funding, infrastructure and planning agreements, professional team appointments, warranties, building contracts, bonds, joint ventures, property management and more.

We have a proven track record acting for well known commercial and residential developers and investors.   Our partners have many years of experience gained at nationally recognised firms.

Our partner led service provides sound, commercial and often innovative solutions to property issues.   We deliver a proactive, value for money and client focussed service to property developers and investors of all sizes and needs.   We work as a team with our clients, ensuring that the service the client needs is the one delivered.

Business Property Team “for clients whose primary concern is their business, not their property”

We possess a wealth of experience in acquiring and disposing of freehold and leasehold business premises, and taking or dealing with leases of business premises.   Our particular areas of expertise include retail premises (especially those in high street and shopping centre locations), licensed properties, care homes, pharmacies and offices.

Our aim is to make sure that our clients get the properties they want, when they want them.   This includes carefully checking freehold and leasehold titles to ensure that the day to day running of our clients’ businesses is not adversely affected by unexpected matters, and working to strict deadlines dictated by our clients’ operational requirements.

Residential Conveyancing Team

We offer to the private individual buying, selling, mortgaging or otherwise dealing with houses and apartments, a more traditional, high quality personal conveyancing service by qualified lawyers.

We offer to our residential developer clients, a professional but streamlined and competitively priced plot sales service, working as a team with the client’s sales and administrative personnel to achieve desired timescales.
