Christian Peace
Associate
Christian trained with Lee & Priestley LLP and qualified as an Assistant Solicitor in the Firm's Corporate department in September 2003. He was promoted to Associate Solicitor in December 2007 in the first ever round of such appointments at the Firm.
Christian is experienced in advising on all forms of corporate transactional work, including acquisitions and disposals, venture capital investments, MBOs, MBIs, joint ventures, de-mergers and company restructurings, leading on deals with values of up to £30m. He has particular expertise in the retail pharmacy sector, having recently advised on over 50 pharmacy transactions, and leads the Firm's nationally respected Pharmacy Team.
Christian acts for a wide range of clients, from individual investors and small partnerships to large private and public limited companies, including a major regional charity, a leading northern university and two major national banks. He was seconded to an AIM-listed software development company for 6 months in 2006 to advise on general commercial matters. However, Christian most enjoys working with owner-managed businesses where he can develop strong relationships with his clients and add value to their growing businesses.
Clients have described him as being "extremely professional", "hard working and supportive" and have been impressed with his "tenacity" and ability to "explain with clarity complex legal points".
Prior to joining Lee & Priestley LLP, Christian graduated with an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Leicester in 2000, followed by gaining a distinction during his Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law, York in 2001.
When not involved in the latest company acquisition, Christian can be found planning his next trip across the globe to engage in his passion of travel photography.
