David qualified as a solicitor in 1985 after training with Walker Morris in Leeds. He also spent a number of years at Hammonds before becoming a partner in Gordons in 1991. He joined Read Hind Stewart as a partner in 1997 and then became a partner in Cobbetts on its merger with Read Hind Stewart in 2002, where he remained until joining Lee & Priestley where he is now Head of the Property Department.

He is highly regarded throughout the region for his expertise in commercial property development and has extensive experience of developing office, retail and industrial parks, mixed use developments, major acquisitions and disposals, leasing, funding, property joint ventures and non-contentious contruction documentation, as well as residential developments.
