Mark Wilkinson has taken an unconventional route...

Mark Wilkinson has taken an unconventional route into the law and will qualify in 2008.

Where did you study? What route did you take to get into the law?

I undertook the LLB Law Degree at Leeds Metropolitan University. I studied on a part-time basis whilst employed as a fee earner in the Insolvency Department at Lee & Priestley. After completing the degree I then entered into a training contract in September 2005 and am currently studying part-time for the LPC also at Leeds Metropolitan University.

What have you done during your training contract?

I started my training contract in the Insolvency Department where I have worked as a fee earner since 2000. I specialise in personal insolvency and continue to gain valuable experience and knowledge from other members of the department. I am also actively involved in marketing activities which enables me to have regular contact with clients.
