Two New Associates at Lee & Priestley

Stuart Tansley and Ann Marie Cousins have both successfully achieved the next stage on the legal career ladder.

Ann Marie Cousins, who has a BCL (European Legal Studies) from University College Dublin and an LLM (Commercial and Corporate Law), University College London, works in Commercial Litigation and has specialist knowledge of the UK Pharmacy sector.

Ann Marie trained and qualified with Clyde & Co in London, remaining in their commercial litigation team until January 2006 handling solicitors’ professional negligence, breach of copyright, product liability and fraud litigation before moving to the FSA in February 2006 where she continued to handle contentious work covering breaches of the Listing Rules by companies and insider dealing cases.

At Lee & Priestley, Ann Marie deals with a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including breach of warranty claims, referrals to the Financial Ombudsman due to misconduct of banks applications, breach of contract claims and property matters.

When not working, Ann Marie enjoys going to the gym, running, and reading.

Stuart Tansley, who graduated with an LLB (Hons.) from the University of Derby, specialises in commercial property, business sales and acquisitions. At Lee & Priestley he handles a broad range of commercial property matters including Landlord & Tenant , acquisitions and disposals, portfolio sales, residential development site acquisition and option agreements and infrastructure agreements.

Stuart trained initially with North Devon firm Brewer Harding and Rowe qualifying in October 2001 before moving to Hempsons in May 2004. At Hempsons he specialised exclusively in commercial property where a large proportion of his work was for the NHS.  Keen to expand the breadth of his experience, Stuart moved to Brooke North in 2005 where he played a key part in managing a number of significant client relationships.

Stuart, a keen runner enjoys cycling, surfing and mountain boarding.
