13/Oct/2008
Lee & Priestley LLP, the Leeds-based law firm, has appointed Felicity Harrison as an intellectual property litigation solicitor.
The firm, which already enjoys a leading reputation in IP Law, is investing further to build on this capability and strengthen its service offer.
After graduating from Hull University with a 2:1 LLB (Hons) Felicity went on to achieve a diploma in French legal studies from the Université Robert Schuman in Strasbourg.
She qualified as a solicitor in 2003 whilst at Richards Butler in London and decided to specialise in IP law after spending some time in the corporate and business affairs department of MTV. After qualifying, Felicity practised at niche media/IP firm Wiggin in Cheltenham, specialising in IP litigation.
Felicity
has particular experience of breach of copyright disputes, defamation,
trade mark infringement and passing off and all media issues. The
IP/IT department at Lee & Priestley is also well equipped to advise
on all non-contentious matters.
Louise Handley, Intellectual
Property partner at Lee & Priestley said: “It is now more necessary
than ever for companies to develop a strategy to protect and exploit
their intellectual property. We are continuing to invest in our own
expertise in the field and we are delighted to be able to bring
Felicity into the team. The breadth and mix of skills that Felicity
brings and her wide ranging IP litigation and media experience will be
real assets to the business.”
Felicity said: “The Lee & Priestley IP department is very well respected and Louise is highly-regarded. I am really pleased to have the opportunity to continue my career and build on my litigation experience in a firm with such a strong reputation.”
